Let the Adventure Begin!

The day we had been endlessly waiting for finally arrived!  February 19 was a significant day long before it became the birthday of our twins.  Matt's maternal grandmother was born on February 19 and she had a twin brother!
We have no idea what we have gotten ourselves into but we are eagerly anticipating the journey!

At 38 weeks and two days, I finally felt ready to meet these babies.

Our last family photo as a family of three...
I couldn't think straight at this point, so I relied on my 6-year-old to show me the way.
My sweet boy who's been my only baby for nearly 6 and a half years.  Hard to believe that is about to change!!
Thank God, he is sooooo excited about the change.  He wants to burn this shirt actually!
Nurse Christy was funny and super sweet!
Almost time to be taken into surgery...
Well wishes, a prayer and a hug from my baby.
Matt knows me well...got pictures of every last detail!
Braden really wanted to be in the room when the babies were born.
Since that wasn't allowed, Papa kept Braden busy while they waited for the big moment.
I was chatting with the anesthesiologist, and next thing I knew, I had Baby A on my chest.  She was born at 1:39pm, weighed 6lbs 15oz, and was 18in long.
Baby B wasn't far behind.  Just a minute later, he was born, weighing in at 6lbs 7oz and was 19in long.
Getting squeaky clean for the big reveal!
We finally named this duo a few hours after they were born.  Kennedy Ryan and Cameron Christian melted our hearts immediately.  We knew we'd eventually wonder how we lived without them, but we had no clue those feelings would develop so quickly!
Big brother getting his first glimpse...
Could Braden look any more proud while riding the elevator to our room?!
Feeling at least 13.5lbs lighter, I was thrilled to finally be holding these sweet bundles.
I'd be willing to bet that calm Cameron will be the mellow one.
Triplets!?!?!
She's already a princess in her daddy's eyes.
Wonder what they were thinking?!
Braden assured me he was an expert when it came to holding babies.  After all, he had held Journee shortly after she was born.  Braden decided to hold Kennedy first and put a pink beanie on her head.

Suzie's BFFs, Christy and Debbie, dropped by to see if Gramma could handle two more grandkids!
Didn't think we'd ever say this, but we are officially the Johnson Five.
Braden has so many things to teach his little brother.  He's particularly excited to teach him to skateboard, ride a bike, and use the potty....well, I'm hoping for that third one at least.
It was obvious from the moment he was born that Cameron was going to be the sweetest snugglebug.
Handsome Johnson boys...they all look alike!
These proud grandparents helped manage all the craziness while we were in the hospital.
Never thought I'd utter these words, but.....I'm so thrilled to have a daughter!
In my delusional, pregnant mind, this outfit was perfect for going home from the hospital.  Tutu with leggings because it was chilly, along with a cute beanie....that's how I envisioned it at least.  Based on her expression, we decided to forgo this outfit for a much more reasonable zebra-print outfit.
We were greeted with decoration and lots of neighborhood support.
