Phewwww!

Seemed appropriate to call this celebration, "We Survived the First Year!" The twins have been a fun and crazy addition to the family. We celebrated them with some family and close friends.

No admittance without a tutu or a tie!
All of us looking remotely happy?! That's an accomplishment!
Uncle CJ and his favorite niece!
Not typically a big fan of a lot of noise and crowds, Cameron actually enjoyed this celebration!
Braden looked extra dapper in his bow tie, coordinating with the turquoise and orange color scheme of the party, of course. Love the orange belt!
No more pictures please!!!
Mitch and Kelsey joined us for some birthday fun.
The twins' beautiful cousins traveled a few hours to party with us!
Thanks Aunt Sandy for making sure Cam's tie looked just right!
Uncle Jan and Roderick looked so handsome in their nice shirts, but bet they wish they were in something more casual on this 85 degree day!
Uncle Edgar and Aunt Debbie enjoyed a poolside chat.
Despite their expressions, Kennedy and Cameron love hanging with their nanny, Kelsey, and their 'bonus' nanny, Lindsey.
Knowing Kennedy, she is probably cheering for herself.
Grandma Judy got to snuggle Violet and Kennedy when they took a quick break from running around.

Looks like Journee could use some sunglasses on this bright, sunny day!

Karissa, Keira and Marcos took a quick break to down some lunch.
Cameron's buddy, Brayden, is just 5 days older. Guess they had secrets to tell each other.
"Uncle Roderick, where is your tie?"
Keira added some creativity to her outfit while Emma sported wings.

It was a bit warm for leg warmers, but she will do anything in the name of fashion!
Looks like Kennedy wants some fairy wings too!
This sweetheart adores her bow tie-wearing dad.
Hope the twins love reading the advice and well wishes when they receive these books on their 18th birthday.

Lots of photos of the babies to display everywhere!

After seeing baby Sybil, we might need another Johnson baby....kidding!
A little girl time with two of Kennedy's favorite ladies!
Kennedy and Cameron are blessed with wonderful grandparents, aunts and uncles!
Baby Jack is almost big enough to start hanging with the twins!
College roommate Julie and her daughter Cherise hung out for the day.
A bounce house is always a hit!
Snuggle time with Grandma Judy!
Maybe the Courtneys should have another baby!
Julia is such a ham. She kept us entertained!
"Give me some love Miles!"
Looking pretty cool there, Miles!
So many family members came out to show the twins some birthday love!
Brian, Jill, Brayden, Lindsey, Cameron, Kelsey and Mitch took a break to enjoy some air conditioning.
Kelsey always takes time to show these babies love.
Looks like Kennedy sweet talked Uncle Billy into handing over the Gatorade.
Leave it to the Kinnon girls to take the tutu theme to the next level!
What are you looking at?!

Party food was not cutting it for the birthday boy.
Moises, Ali, Journee and Julia wore themselves out in the bounce house.
Kennedy loves all things girly, just like her great Aunt Debbie.
Christina and Joe are such a beautiful couple!

Look who showed up to surprise us!
So awesome to see the Kordick clan!
This kid must be partied out...he just had his 1st birthday bash a few days ago!
Being sick didn't keep the Lawes away from the celebration.

No party poopers here!
Uncle CJ was one of the few adults who acknowledged the dress code!
Matt and Mandy never lack smiles...no wonder their girls are so happy!
The warm temps tempted lots of partygoers to hang out by the pool.
At just 3 months old, Sybil was the youngest partier.
Before cake destroyed her outfit, Kennedy modeled it.
The serious look seemed appropriate based on the fact he was wearing a big tie.
Time to dig in!
Braden's teeth matched his tie!
This sweetheart loves to eat!

Cameron was not thrilled with the idea of a group of people staring at him while he figured out what to do with the cake in front of him.

Can't be messy...gotta lick the frosting off the fingers!
Here is the difference between a girl and a boy...Cam finally discovered this whole cake thing was unbelievable and the proof is on his face!
She's always got something to announce!
She loves to applaud...usually for herself.

          She keeps shoveling it in...
"How does this tie look, Mom?"
Looks like Braden enjoyed himself just as much as the twins did!
Braden helped Cameron discover this whole cake thing is actually deliciously amazing!
One bite for Cam...

One bite for Braden.
Braden kept saying how much he loved celebrating the babies' birthday. Such a sweet boy!

No typically very interested in eating, this cake was awesome! Granted, most ended up on his face and hands...
As a bonus, this was really messy!
Tons of cupcakes for our partiers.
Having the kids eat in the garage was a brilliant idea.

When the kids are happy, the parents are too!
Kendall tends to prefer sporty clothes, but she looked so beautiful and girly!
Looks like the princess wants to be the center of attention! Back away from the cake now, Kennedy!
Surprisingly, too much damage was done!
Guess Cameron didn't want a sugar high either!
Looks like Sandy misses the baby stage!
Her baby is practically in high school!
This dapper guy was a bit more serious than his sister.
Miss seeing Sandy, but so glad she came to celebrate!
Lots of humor in this group of guys.
Cam always finds a cozy spot on Mitch's lap.
Kennedy was scoping out the hand-me-downs she wants from Journee.
Kennedy thought maybe she could just take this hand-me-down now.
Looks like Drake would make a great sitter!
The other Johnson Five made the long trek to hang with us. So glad they did!
How old are you now, Kennedy??
The twins looked a bit worn out from their big day, but they will definitely love these new personalized build-a-monkeys!

Kennedy's Star Wars obsessed cousin must have talked her into checking out Yoda's light saber.
Nice tutu, Uncle Billy!
Cam loved the jumper!

Uncle Jan, Aunt Debbie, Grandma Judy and Uncle Edgar reluctantly played along and posed in the photo booth.
Got props?
Miles didn't want to be in the photo, so he simply closed his eyes so we couldn't see him.
Of course Aunt Debbie has the moves like Jagger!
Somehow Journee managed to still look adorable, even while wearing a mustache!
These cousins are both too cute and too cool!
Braden, Charley and Miles have a blast together!
Journee and Violet found a new BFF in our neighbor, Julia.
Miles had no interest in the family photo, but he sure looks thrilled to pose with his dad!
No surprise that Aunt Maria had no interest in putting on a costume.
Cherise was full of personality, just like her mama, Julie.
Love our neighbors, the Vuksons.
This duo became fast friends.
Can't get enough of sweet Charley's adorable mug.
Like a boss!
The Ginsbergs own a photo booth company...clearly they were impressed with our classy set-up!
Mark my words...we will see Lyla in the movies one day. What a crack-up!
Way too many cool cousins!
The real question is...who is the coolest cousin of all?
Kennedy could pull off this homemade bow style.
Christina, Violet and Joe are picture-perfect.
We've known Keiley and Drake since they were little. Awesome to see what mature young adults they are becoming...obviously!
Emma and Marcos love being goofballs.
Nice boa, Kennedy!
Love the get-up, Emma!
Addison is such a doll.
Such a sweet face!
And then there's her sister, Karissa.
Getting silly before taking some photos!
Looking for one cute photo booth picture of the birthday duo...
Hmmm, not quite.
Probably should cover those sleepy eyes with those enormous shades.
A sparkly tiara seemed appropriate for the celebration.
Not digging the mustache...
At all!!
She ripped it off and gave it to Cam!
And gave Kelsey a mask!
Looking very bright!
Kennedy tried to figure out what final touches Cameron needed.
She is envious of his real hair, and apparently of his wig too! Poor girl will get hair one day!
The string of pearls will clearly make the outfit complete.
The Gickings showed up to the party late, after they had Landin and Keegan's 8th birthday!
Looking pretty sharp boys!
Oh sure, just have a few gumballs before bed.

A few of the many orange and turquoise details...
Bowtie napkins? Of course!

The twins will enjoy special messages written by guests...but they have to wait until they are 18!
Not sure if I ever want to see orange and turquoise again!
So much fun celebrating these little loves. What an amazing year it has been!

Wishing Kennedy and Cameron the happiest 2nd year!
Uggghh, thought it was bedtime! Not when there's a 7-year-old brother who insists it is time to open gifts! Hmmm, the invitation said 'no gifts!'
And so the celebration continued long after the official party ended.
Poor Cameron...he's like Bentley...just puts up with all of Kennedy's shenanigans!
Smart kid! Opening gifts while lying down is so much easier after a long day!
